For over twenty years, I got paid to play God with a render farm.

I've worked on Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Black Mirror, and Triangle of Sadness before it went off and won the Palme d'Or at Cannes. Along the way the projects picked up Emmys, Oscars, BAFTAs, and enough awards to make it look like I had a sensible career plan.

I didn't.

Mostly, I just kept saying yes to impossible problems.

Dragons. Spaceships. Entire worlds. Deadlines that violated several known laws of physics.

Visual effects taught me a profound truth:

Reality is surprisingly flexible if you throw enough talented people at it.
